Former star player Charlie accepts to fill in as coach of a high school baseball team, and Martin gets to be his assistant coach, but that rekindles Charlie's frustration over his father's obsession with winning at all cost, even long before Martin became Charlie's manager, while he focuses on fair play. In Charlie's absence, Kate fills in as his anger group's therapist, but her methods sharply contrast with Charlie's, failing to bond with his band and caught out faking similar problems.
