A small fundamentalist faction within a wealthy and influential Christian group know as EvE, based in the States released a deadly airborne virus, utilising major airports and transportation hubs throughout the world in a simultaneous strike. It took place on Friday afternoon just before the Christmas holidays began, as people headed home from work or traveled abroad to be with loved ones. The virus had a 93% kill rate, once contracted it spread with just a cough or a kiss, the time from displaying symptoms to death was 48 hrs. By Christmas Day the world had ceased. EvE believe they have brought about the "Rapture" punishing the world for its sin's. Those few who survived are forced to cling to the outskirts of rotting cities and towns. Soon they must face the horror which forced them to flee, not the dead, not the disease that follows, the virus has another purpose, in the shadows and on roof tops a new darkness waits as the sun comes up, it's New Years Eve.—Mark Guthrie
