When their access to the lift is blocked, Kai tells Alamares she knows of a back way to the penthouse via the kitchen. She explains she had seen it when she worked undercover at the casino as a cocktail waitress (s2e7). There is no need for her to explain herself as Alamares was on the same stakeout.
