I'm still really hopeful for the series but watching it one by one as opposed to binging it is a good change but it's also a lot more difficult to keep the audience engaged. While I appreciate the world building and how the Underworld looks, especially tartarus and the Field of Ashpodel, I find the conclusion of the episode about how Poseidon will only meet Percy when he knows who he is feels a little bit contradictory to how Percy can fully know himself without knowing his father - but of course, the overall message of knowing yourself despite these things you can't control.
I'm a litte bit dissapointed at how they introduce gods. I'm hoping theres more action and more dynamic personalities or wrting from these gods but so far Ares is the only one that comes alive to me. I'm hoping the last few episodes turn out better.
