Juliette says her mother, a drug addict and murderer, was the one who melted down not her and she's fought for too much to miss this moment. Marshall says she should take time to grieve. She says she should be celebrating it's finally over. She stops and says she didn't mean that. Glen offers to take her home, but she wants Emlly.
Juliette goes to see her mom's body at the funeral home, all laid out. She says she had wanted her to see her win. And now she's all alone. She takes her mother's hand and tells her she's so sorry. She recalls singing her mother to sleep, like momma's do with their babies. But it was always the other way around with them. She asks how she could leave her and cries that now she has no one at all.

She says the fact that he can't remember is how it's possible. She asks him to remember how he was. He says he does. She says she got pregnant, married Teddy, agreed to get the paternity test after they were married, found out and Coleman told them not to tell Deacon, to "cut him loose," because it would interfere with his recovery since it took him five rehab stints to get sober. He is, understandably, freaked out and leaves. She starts to cry. A production assistant comes in and tell her she's on to present an award in 40 seconds.
