Riley Masterson is a waitress in the small town of Altanada Texas who wants to be a dancer and singer but is caught up in the small town world. Her father wants her to come back to his circuit breaker warehouse to help him with sales and customer service. In her off-time, Riley visits her Alma Mater football field where she secretly watches Luke Warner, the one time football star who now works as the grounds keeper. On prom night where Luke got into an argument with his girlfriend Layla and then took Riley partying for the night. A drag race ensued on Frontage Road, Luke's car spun out of control and into a bridge abutment. Riley woke up in the hospital with no memory of the nights events. But, Luke's leg was so badly mangled in the wreck that he would never play football again. His career over. Free of her guilt, passionate about her future, she calls her father and tells him she's leaving.
