- American Federale takes us behind the scenes in border Mexico where life constantly hangs in the balance. We all assume we know about life there. Lobo, American by birth, gives us a first hand account of his time as a Mexican Federale.
- American Federale is about the only American ever to serve as a Mexican Federale. Filmed in border Mexico and El Paso, this film gives us insight into a life in the trenches working on the Mexican side of drug enforcement. We are introduced to Lobo, who killed drug lord Pablo Acosta and we hear his stories from across the border. Director Michael Douglas Carlin becomes part of the story as he travels into Juarez and Ojinaga to film the places Lobo worked and lived. Being on the border has dangers, and Carlin faced death at every turn and managed to live to tell the tale. Produced by Mick Merivel, Michael Mandaville and Evie Ryland the film provides us with a glimpse of the horrific corruption that we all thought was happening along the border but simply don't want to believe could be happening so close to home.—Anonymous
