After the events of Kage and Celeste, each and every character (who deserves to) is living in what they call Ever After, a haven for all things good. But, not everyone is satisfied.
Matthew is lured away by the call of the woods, where he encounters the witch. Celeste needs to collect some herbs to restock the potion lab and Kage is forced to help. But, what happens when Matthew doesn't return?
With her single eye, the witch casts a spell over the kingdom to control everyone. She's gotten to the queen and Kage and the kingdom's population. Celeste has to get the help of her old orphanage team to complete the reversal spell.
Kage figures out that his bow has been enchanted, it can transform into any weapon. It'll take him a while to control its powers - Liam starts to realize that he and Orchid might have something more than friendship.
To trick the witch, Celeste prepares a potion in disguise - as a boba tea. However, it might not be that easy to trick the witch, she has her own talents hidden up her sleeve. Narcissa and Waylon have to teach the kids to bake with magic.
Liam and Orchid are both unable to come to terms with their feelings. Instead, they have a late-night picnic where they stare at the stars. The two crowns gleam brightly in the night, a reminder of how true love will prevail.
Matthew is confronted by the Queen in her massive chess graveyard. They talk about Kage and the universe before they overhear the Magic Mirror talking to Sophia, a young screenwriter - the narrator/writer of their stories.
After a battle with the witch, the team seems to almost defeat her - but she swears she'll be back. Everything goes back to the happy state of Ever After, but not for long - the Inspector is in town, the destroyer of all good productions.
With the witch's quick return, the characters are confused about how to continue. They decide that only Sophia knows how to end the story, so they try to befriend her - but Sophia's personality is a bit more suspenseful than they think.
