A great follow-up to the first episode! Third Option is a bit slower and definitely more low-key compared to the previous Mother and Children, whose feature-film length allowed for a lot of development and story progression, fitting the entire prologue into a singular frame, definitely capturing "lightning in a bottle," as some may say.
The thing I appreciate most about this episode is how it takes its time to show how our main cast; Ruby, Aqua, etc. Have changed over the course of the time-skip as was seen at the conclusion of the previous episode. Some may want the main story to progress right off and for things to get moving, but I think it's necessary for these episodes to exist so as to get us invested in the characters and to establish the motivations, courses of action, and especially the overall philosophies or underlying thought processes of these characters. It's honestly fascinating. Cant wait for the next episode!
