There were numerous hiccups in both the film's production and filming. The teacher who gave the green light to project left the school and his replacement nearly canceled the project due to creative differences with the directors. There were also issues regarding cast participation as some cast members dropped out of scenes or the project last minute due to scheduling issues. However, Molen has denied that either issue hindered the endeavor.
Vance Lee was rumored to be in the film playing Andrew Read's CQB expert character. Lee's character was presented as a student with an incredibly deep vocabulary and a grandiloquent master of philosophy. However, he was later written out of the script due to scheduling conflicts.
The end of the "Quick and Clean" mission scene had to be dubbed over with music due to a camera malfunction. The original footage had its sound erased by a technical difficulty.
Allison Wall was due to have an expanded role on the O-Team as Nathman's tech assistant. Her character was set as a sassy freshman who refused to obey orders, but still desired to work within the team. Wall was settled for the role as a video production student due to the relaxed time demands.
Many individuals participating in the film had no acting/movie making experience prior to casting. Notable exceptions include Emma Leffler, Deron Molen, and Ryan Stoll.
