Mutated by the unfathomable power of atomic radiation, an ordinary tarantula becomes a gargantuan hirsute arachnid, terrorising the unsuspecting residents of Phantom Lake. Wreaking havoc on drive-in theatres and the entire town, the eight-legged invader is impervious to bullets and the modern weaponry of the U.S. Army, and with no one to stand in its way, the horrific creature gobbles down the helpless inhabitants, one by one. Now, a handful of defenders have to come up with a strategy to outsmart the monster, before it's too late. But, is there an escape from the jaws of the Giant Spider?—Nick Riganas
