Not to worry they tell him: while Miles, Charlie and Nora were kidnapping him, Neville was out snatching his family and as long as he works for them, his family will be safe. Synopsis

  • Open with Miles and the gang breaking into a facility, abducting a doctor of some kind and blowing up the building.

    TWO DAYS EARLIER

Miles interrogates a Monroe soldier. The man won't tell Miles what he wants to know, so he has him shot.

Tom comes to see Miles with a letter from President Foster. Tom is now a commissioned officer of the Georgia Federation. He tells Miles that Monroe is weaponizing anthrax and a doctor named Ethan (from the opening) is key to the process.

Charlie and Nora don't like that they are working with Tom. The plan is to take a steamboat over the border.

On their way West, Rachel and Aaron are having trouble finding food.

Tom asks Jason for a truce. Jason isn't interested, telling his father he doesn't care which side he's on. Tom responds that the reason he's with Georgia is that Jason is a traitor.

Monroe tells Randall they must do whatever it takes, including anthrax. Randall is worried he's going to radicalize more people against him.

Miles and his group get off the boat, leaving Tom behind. We see them grab Ethan and bring him to the boat.

Aaron is caught stealing food. The punishment is death. But just before the man can shoot them, Rachel kills him first. As they run away Rachel falls and breaks her leg.

Tom tells Miles he enjoys working with good people again and offers him a drink. Miles then interrogates Ethan, telling him that they have his family. He says Ethan can see his family only if he helps them.

Aaron carries Rachel to a truck.

Nora is furious about Miles kidnapping people. She wants to transfer.

Aaron puts the bone back in her leg and splints the leg. She wants him to leave her and take the book. He won't leave her.

Ethan tells Charlie about his family, begging her to help him. A Monroe boat approaches their steamboat for an inspection. The Monroe troops take a look around the boat, but don't find Ethan. Tom hit Charlie for pointing a gun at him. Miles responds by threatening to kill him if he touches her again.

Two soldiers find Rachel and Aaron's van. They're able to fight them off.

Charlie tells Miles they have to get rid of Ethan. She doesn't like what they've resorting to, but he reminds her there is nothing Monroe won't do to win. She locks him in a room and Jason knocks his father out. Charlie, Nora and Tom grab weapons and take control of the boat. They demand to know where Ethan's family is being held. They are able to rescue Ethan's family from another boat. Below deck Tom wakes up and starts to work on freeing himself. Just before they can send Ethan and his family to safety, Tom comes up with a gun and stops them. Miles points his gun at Charlie, at which point Miles appears and hit him. Tom orders everybody be killed, when Monroe troops open fire on the boat.

Miles, Nora, Charlie and Jason are able to escape in the other boat with Ethan and his family.

    TWO DAYS LATER

Tom barges in with his gun pointed at Miles. Ethan and his family are gone and he has promised not to work for anyone again. Tom wants to take the troops back, but Miles reminds him he's been winning and that's all Foster really cares about.

Nora pays Miles a visit in her underwear. The two of them have sex.

Rachel continues to ask Aaron to leave. She explains that it's important that he go to the Tower. She shows him a specific page of the journal. There is a newspaper clipping of him in there.

The man guarding Grace goes down in the elevator and is killed by something terrible. The blood-soaked elevator returns to her floor as the episode ends.
