Second Verse Same As The First
Still nothing new offered here, with wildly unverified claims.
Things like seduction of an elderly woman, claims of attempted murder which led to charges being dropped, and Current Affair clips.
No one claims Koresh was of sane mind, but no one ever claimed he was ignorant. What we witnessed in real time unfolding in front of the world, was a ridiculous bungling based on stupid assumptions and lies.
Our government insisted on going in, guns blazing, innocents be damned, no loss of life is too great or glorious to stop the insanity. Koresh was absolutely a predator that our government turned into a martyr. There's absolutely no amount of reasoning or excuses any of these people can put forth that justifies the actions that initiated this assault on their compound and the actions that followed.
There's no reason the government couldn't have taken Koresh into custody as he made his daily trips to town, or when he went for his walks. There was a much better way to take this abhorrent monster into custody without the volume of bloodshed that came from this.
When the children came out, these gross morons were laughing at the children, making them feel inadequate, like they were less than human. Somehow this is the least surprising aspect of this. I think Heather was by far the most sympathetic person in this whole debacle-it was heartbreaking that she's still carrying the burden of this nonsense.
Our government is so corrupted and incompetent and we continue to allow their unfettered power to not only exist, but to flourish. It's no accident that Kathy Schroeder was brought in- how can you make these people seem less than human without finding villains to prove how much better the government is?
This massive phallic measuring contest the feds seemed to gleefully engage in, all to just look mighty and 'large and in charge', and led to far too many deaths that were far too easily disposed of by these 'superiors'. I hope these people lose sleep every night over this debacle and may it never happen anywhere ever again.
