'Inside Russia: Traitors and Heroes' is a somewaht bitty documentary, looking at the lives of various Russians opposed to the current government. People engage in various degrees of defiance (and of course, any degree of defiance on camera entails a certain risk); some are punished, some flee. It seems that many of their fellow citizens disagree with them; rather more, perhaps, just accept that you keep your head down and don't engage in politics. There is a terrifying clip of a pro-Putin rally; while this probably isn't normal either, it's probably naive to expect an imminent liberal revolution. One is left with admiration for anyone who stands up in any way at all; but also, without that much hope for the future.
