Frogs Would Hop Away from This

This show is extremely stretched and dull. The first couple of episodes are intriguing, and the show initially creates high expectations, but eventually, the bubble bursts, and it ends up being a mess. I watched five episodes and stopped at the sixth, which was unbearable to watch. I decided not to waste any more time on it.

On the other hand, in terms of direction and cinematography, the show is at a high level. The camera work, lighting, production design, and colors are all artistic, and there are many beautiful scenes. The acting also seems okay, but plot-wise, it's a mess. I don't recommend it.

Please save yourself from this Garbage

As a fan of Korean thriller, I was hooked after episode one.

Then the next episode, it became a slow burn, I was expecting something to happen, unfortunately bothing happened till episode seven.

Then, I started wondering why the time wasting, and why did the man not just report the girl.

Well, it was just a jamboree of time wastage and nothingness.

The story could have been done in one episode.

The story is so superflous that alot of scene was just added to make the movie longer without any reason to do that(Just like this sentence to this review)

Quite lame and ridiculous by the way.

Go and watch the stars instead of watching this.

A True Masterpiece of Wasting Time

If you're looking for a show that excels in turning promising concepts into utter nonsense, look no further than "The Frog." This series is a shining example of how to take a potentially intriguing idea and drag it through the mud with astonishing dedication.

Let's start with our beloved main character, who must hold the title for the most clueless protagonist in TV history. It's almost impressive how consistently he manages to make the worst possible decisions at every turn. Watching him bumble through the plot is like watching a train wreck in slow motion-if the train were piloted by a guy with no idea what a train even is.

And then there's our villain. Wow, what a genius. It's almost as if the writers decided, "Why bother giving the good guys any victories when we can just let the bad guy win every single time?" Because, you know, who needs suspense or excitement when you can have a storyline where the antagonist is basically untouchable? Brilliant choice, really.

The pacing is another triumph. Stretching a story that could've been told in a couple of episodes into an epic saga of boredom is no easy feat, but "The Frog" pulls it off with flying colors. Each episode is packed with riveting filler content that does absolutely nothing to move the plot forward. It's like they wanted to see how long they could drag it out before viewers started questioning their life choices.

And the writing-oh, the writing. It's rare to come across dialogue so stilted and unnatural that it makes you wonder if the writers were having a competition to see who could pen the most awkward line. Mission accomplished!

In summary, "The Frog" is a true marvel of mediocrity. It's an excellent way to kill time if you have absolutely nothing better to do and want to marvel at how a show can simultaneously do so much and yet so little. It's one of the worst shows I've ever seen, and that's saying something.

Wasted my time

I was excited to watch this but turns out it was such a time pass. It is based on two stories which is completely unrelated to each other.

Yes the actors were amazing in their role but it's very very slow and honestly you will find so much unrelated stuff over there. It's not worth watching it.

It's created an unnecessary tension and you'll wait for anything to happen in this drama but nothing surprising happens. It's just so boring.

If you have nothing better to do, I would suggest you to watch it but trust me, you will be wasting your time. The storyline is very, very weak and you will be waiting for something surprising to happen but you will be greatly disappointed. Yes.

A Flop Fuelled by False Hope

A dreadful series stretched out to eight episodes, featuring unbelievably foolish characters constantly engaging in nonsensical antics. Aside from the director's ability to keep viewers watching with the hope of a potential twist, there's nothing above average in this lacklustre production. It's a prime example of how such a disastrous outcome can be achieved with this kind of casting. The real daft frogs here are the unfortunate audiences who watched this series to the end. That's why the film is aptly titled 'Frogs'.- Highly recommended for those who wish to realise they've become the frog by the end of it all.

Once again, Korea has failed to deliver a truly thrilling series.

A Disappointing Attempt at Thrills!!

Despite its promising premise, this 8-episode series falls flat and leaves viewers questioning why they even bothered watching it.

The biggest issue with this series is its unnecessary length. The story could easily have been wrapped up in three episodes, but instead, the creators decided to stretch it out with unrelated subplots and silly scenes that add nothing to the main narrative. The attempt to weave together past and present storylines is poorly executed, with the past storyline having little to no connection to the present events, making it a confusing and frustrating watch.

Character development is another weak point. The police captain, who should have played a pivotal role, turns out to be a completely useless character. Despite her minimal involvement in solving the case, she somehow ends up taking all the credit, which feels both forced and undeserved.

The series is riddled with scenes and actions that simply do not make sense. For instance, people go missing and die without anyone reporting them missing-no family members, no police reports, nothing. Even when a police officer goes missing, his family doesn't bother to inform the police? It's baffling and unrealistic. In another absurdity, a search for a dead body is conducted without the help of dogs, which is standard procedure in such cases.

The behavior of the characters is equally frustrating. A daughter casually accepts a stranger as a guest, completely ignoring her father's objections. This stranger then stays in the house without any repercussions, and the owner doesn't even have the power to call the police to remove her. The situation is further aggravated when a police officer defends the stranger instead of upholding the law.

These are just a few examples of the numerous illogical decisions and actions that plague this series. The list could go on, but it all boils down to one simple conclusion: don't waste your time on this series. Despite the potential for a gripping story, the series is a disjointed mess that fails to deliver on any front.

The Frog: A Leap into Disappointment

The title "The Frog" feels fitting because, much like its namesake, you can hop from the first episode straight to the last and still grasp the plot-though there's not much of it to miss. As a seasoned fan of K-mystery crime thrillers, I can confidently say this is one of the most underwhelming films I've encountered in the genre.

Let's address the obvious: the cast. They deliver strong performances, but let's be clear-this is a movie rating, not a fan club meeting. Talent alone can't save a plot that moves at a snail's pace and ultimately leads nowhere worthwhile. What we're left with is a shallow narrative centered around a nepotistic psycho serial killer with a barrage of subplots that fail to contribute anything meaningful to the story.

The film lures you in with a promising trailer and a high-caliber cast, only to deliver a convoluted mess that's both slow and nonsensical. It's a waste of time and a huge letdown, especially for those of us who were expecting something great. In the end, "The Frog" is a leap in the wrong direction.

It sucks.

This drama suffers from a significant lack of coherence and overall execution, making it undoubtedly one of the worst drama I have ever seen. The storyline is riddled with inconsistencies that break any semblance of immersion. Characters make irrational decisions without any believable motivation, and the plot holes are so glaring that they disrupt the flow of the narrative entirely.

The drama also struggles with pacing, with certain scenes dragging on far too long, while others that could have provided crucial context are glossed over. This uneven pacing leaves the audience confused and disengaged.

Waste of my night.

I thought this show was gonna get better, it did not. It just got worse, sadly. It was so unbelievable and the main old man lead was absolutely annoying and frustrating as heck. One of the stupidest protagonist I've seen in a movie in a while. I guess that's the point, he's a Frog. I only made it to episode 4 cause I was getting bored and the lead was pissing me off. So I just read spoilers and it seems to just get even more terrible, somehow. If you like movies where the protagonist makes horrible choice after horrible choice, this shows for you!!!! Can't believe I wasted almost 5 hours of my life on this.

Movie is a toad

Total waste of time. Worst story in a long time. The characters are NPC's with nothing of value to the viewers.

I couldn't care about any character in the story.

This is like the garbage Netflix produces in America.

I had to go back and watch the ending again because I couldn't remember it.

Many good actors in the series but their talents were totally wasted on this utter failure of a story.

I watch 90 percent Korean series because they are so good but it's the second time I noticed this genre has low standards in the writing of the series.

Not as bad as the horror genre which has 95 percent garbage.

The typical "it was a dream" or "it didnt really happen" thriller

This show was so annoying that i had to leave a review. It deploys cheap tactics to make it a "thriller" by playing the SAME SOUNDTRACKS that you will get so sick of it but you won't actually know what happened. They will leave you in that cheap suspense. Besides that, when you do finally see some "development", IT TURNS OUT TO BE A DREAM! GREAT!!! As if it couldnt be draggier and cheaply suspenseful enough. Whats the worst. They try to tie in some philosophical line "if a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" TOTALLY IRRELEVANT TO ANY PART OF THE SHOW AND JUST TO SOUND ALL PHILOSOPHICAL, THEY REPEATED THE LINES ON EVERY EPISODE. IT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM NETFLIX. CHEAP SHOW.

Just a joke

The beginning of the TV SHOW was good. However from the 5th episode it turned from Korean drama to Indian drama. In the last episode I thought I am watching a stupid Indian movie which is absolutely disgusting. Entire police officer can't catch a woman, even though she stabbed a person and kidnapped another one. What's it? If you kidnap someone in Korea, the police let you go? In this case Korea has such a stupid laws. You stab and try to kill, but you will be fine, because police won't touch you? Is that a joke? The woman kills police officer, but the police protects her and fires at the victim. It's unbelievable.
