It felt early seasons on redeeming barts character but it was obvious it would stop. It creates an unbelievably high expectation that bart could do better in a good environment and obviously things have to reset however doesn't address that those factors are out of his control so it just leaves you with a feeling that he has intelligence but it's wasted without any commentary. Bart is shown with more academic knowledge than Lisa but never provides any show of why him being put back into springfield elementary is bad and despite the positive show on Bart character in a new school makes the norm to be what it always was without any points from the show runner.
