As Reddington's team of pickpockets enter the hospital corridor, a doctor or nurse is standing in the busy corridor, filling a syringe from a sealed vial. This is not good sterile practice and is presumably for show. The syringe would be filled close to the patient's bedside, to minimise the risk of contamination.
