This marks the final episode of Ben and Kate. Kate finally goes back to college only to find herself falling for her professor, while Ben, BJ, and Tommy all realize that they are in dysfunctional relationships. We also find out that Brittany Snow's character Lila is a handyman, but she and Tommy have nothing in common. Once again, Brittany Snow is excellent when she is on screen, but she gets the shaft as we see her very little. The end of the episode suggests that the writers were hoping for a second season, and I'm sure Lila would have returned had the show gotten renewed. But as it stands, Lila doesn't get the send-off her character deserved, and overall, Brittany Snow was underutilized. Like any show that only has one season, a handful of storylines are never finished, which is always annoying. However, I feel like the viewer can easily conclude how these characters' stories may have ended. Overall, it's a cute little show, especially if you just need to escape from the world for a few minutes.
