After the scene which Joe and Bryan first run from the monster, Joe in a panic says, "It's only a matter of time before this thing kills a kid!" This is in spite of the fact that the monster had already allegedly killed Joe's young daughter.
Most of the shots where Joe and Bryan shoot at the Melonhead were clearly taken in different locations, and do not match up with the reactions of the Melonhead.
It can be seen that the monster is wearing tennis shoes.
After Wayne Foresythe is killed by the Melonhead a closeup shot can be seen of his body which is inside the truck. The reflection of the cameraman is visible in the truck's window.
The film claims to take place in the towns of Allegan and Kalamazoo, Michigan. However, most of the film was clearly shot in the nearby town of Otsego, Michigan.
