This tenth episode of the second season serves as a kind of midseason finale. The journey of Einar and Thorfinn to earn there freedom is nearly over and now is the perfect moment to reflect on the amazing way that got us here.
How Mappa developed Thorfinn from a barbaric for revenge lustering butcher to a pacifist that feels guilty for the violence he caused is sensational. I can follow all the steps he took and it makes perfectly sense! The relation to Einar developed to a kind of brotherhood and that is great!!!
All the events happened on the farm were brilliant and characters like the master or the old master grew on me.
Bit I also like the intermissions with Canute the very likely new villain Thorfinn will confront in the future. His change from the silent prince to the brave and dangerous king was written perfectly.
This is an extraordinary basis the masterminds at Mappa can build on! They have earned my respect and trust for sure!
With this said I am really looking forward to see the next episode!
