Man Ok and Kang Hwi travel through town on Man Ok's scooter, with Kang Hwi dressed in Man Ok's Abshela garb. When they arrive at Tae Ik's house and are off the scooter, Man Ok is dressed the same, but Kang Hwi is completely in his regular clothes with no Abshela garb in sight.
At the fence, Kang Hwi moves one loose post aside, then none are moved aside, then as Man Ok slips through, two are moved aside.
Breaking into Tae Ik's home, Man Ok and Kang Hwi are courteous enough to leave their shoes and boots, respectively, at the entry (as is customary in Korean homes). No one ever spots Kang Hwi's boots (which he doesn't take with him) as he remains hiding in the house. (As she falls under Tae Ik's somewhat watchful eye, Man Ok must somehow retrieve her shoes and leave by a regular route, but it's not shown how she goes about it.)
Man Ok and Kang Hwi break onto Tae Ik's property then seem to wait through the rest of the day for it to become completely dark before entering the house. That's a long time for them to sit out in the cold with Man Ok's scooter parked outside the front gate.
The con artist stakes out Tae Ik's home, eventually under the cover of darkness wearing - a bright, yellow-green, day-glo rubber coat with matching pants??
