- As the gravity of her finding dawns on Paula, self-doubt creeps in. Elsewhere, Sven and Charlie navigate the aftermath of the fateful incident.
- Paula is stunned to hear a voice on the radio during the Dead Zone period on the ISS. Paula brings Hadi into the loop. The antenna of the ISS was pointing towards space, so the signal did not come from Earth. Hadi reckons that this is an alien signal, mimicking the voice of a child. Hadi wants to keep this a secret as if the Governments find out, they will kick the private team out of the project. Hadi and Paula start a digital grid search for the signal.
Paula tries to reveal the truth to Jake and other astronaut on ISS, but Hadi had erased her tape of the intercepted signal. Hadi did not trust Paula to keep this discovery a secret. Hadi pretends that this was a prank from Paula. Later, Hadi tells Paula that he does not know what she is talking about. Paula believes Hadi and thinks that she is seeing things that are not really there.
Agent Friederike (Meret Becker) cannot understand why Paula would enter the cockpit of the missing flight. A team of agents enter the house to search for clues. Sven searches for clues in his memories. He remembers that Paula had this condition where she felt living things crawling under her skin. Paula was in psychiatric care due to her condition and Hadi knew about it as Hadi and Mira were good friends with Sven and Paula.
Sven reaches out to Mira. Sven says that what he heard on the tape sounded like a full-blown Psychotic event. He says that Paula was taking inhibitors like Psychotropics as a precaution that Paula did not have those episodes again. Sven reaches home and finds all of Paula's Psychotropics, carefully hidden in the house. This means Paula was probably having Psychotic episodes during her mission. Sven remembers that Paula made him burn her medical reports so she could continue to be part of the ISS mission.
On the ISS, Paula is having these episodes where she feels living things crawling under her skin. She stabs herself on one instance to release those insects from her body. On the next orbit Paula communicates her finding to Mudhi. She also reveals her psychotic episodes to which Mudhi says that there is a thin line between Visions and Hallucinations. Mudhi calls Paula a visionary and asks her to continue her work. As Paula recovers from her episode, she finds coordinates written on her hand, and she also sees Hadi listening to the original recording of the signal.
The next morning, the same old woman visits Sven's home with the Federal agents continuing their search. Charlie sees the old woman and goes out to meet her. The relatives of the 176 other victims on the plane blame Paula and Hadi for the missing plane, after the cockpit radio message goes public and is broadcast on international news media. Due to the danger to Charlie, he sends her away with Paula's parents. But Charlie is afraid of missing Paula's next communication on the radio and returns. Charlie refuses to believe that Paula is gone.
Nora reaches out to Sven at his home. Nora gives Sven a direct line to Mudhi via her. Later that night, Charlie claims that she spoke to Paula. Sven believes that Charlie is refusing to let go and takes away her radio set. Sven gets a call from Rainer, who indicates that Sven was right and that this is a cover up. Sven goes to Rainer's house but finds him missing. He finds top secret files in Rainer's microwave, set with an intention to destroy them. Sven had left Charlie with Mira when he went to Rainer's, but when he returns he finds Charlie missing and the balcony door to Mira's first floor apartment open.
