A Bit of a Mystery
What this film is: a simple, short film going through the alphabet while showing some clips of animals and other scenes.
I actually think this is pretty decent. Most people have probably seen it through "Mystery Science Theater", meaning they saw a bad copy and they saw it being made fun of. But I could actually see this being an entertaining short for kids learning the alphabet. It has good images and some are even more interesting today (2016).
I am surprised that no one seems to know anything about it. Besides being released by Castle Films (a company mostly known for its 8mm releases), who is the narrator? Who is the director? Who edited these clips together? There is nothing at all indicating where this came from.
