"Steve From Accounting..." Is a wonderful comic short, something that we don't see to often these days. The protagonist, Steve, is an every man (though I didn't buy that he was a Virgin- the actor was just too good looking!). When he stumbles upon a weird cult in his office building the sh-- really hits the fan. The supporting cast is great, particularly the best friend- he had me in stitches, especially at the end. The film is over-the-top gory, like an early Peter Jackson film, though handled in such a comedic way it's never off-putting. And you can never go wrong with a pool full of girls in Bikinis.
If i have any complaints about this film, its that it was only a short. i really wanted to get more into the origins of the cult, see more gore and ass-kicking, and yes, bikini girls. There really is enough of a story here for a feature length film. Maybe somewhere down the road the film-makers will revisit it, or make a sequel.
I stumbled upon this film at the Salty Horror Film Festival in Park City, Utah last year and I'm so glad I did. I can't wait to see what these film makers do next!
