Tracing the emergence of Jackie Chan as a Hong Kong superstar, and his early work in Taiwan for the director Lo Wei, this documentary then looks at the actor's first attempt to break into the American market with Battle Creek Brawl. In addition, this new feature-length production features the very first on-camera interview with Chi-Hwa Chen, who directed such initial classics as Half a Loaf of Kung Fu and Shaolin Wooden Men.
