"Americans" is an 11-minute short film written and directed by Jameson Stafford and the 2 stars in this movie, Sean Penn and Kid Rock, are actually co-writers. Let me start by saying that I quite like Sean Penn as an actor, but I do not really care about Kid Rock's music. This came out briefly before the Obama vs. Romney election 4 years ago and was obviously an attempt to show us no matter how much our opinions differ in terms of hot topics like gay marriage etc., we are still all Americans and can have a great time together despite our perceptions of what is right and wrong. The good thing is that this film gives both sides a speech although I would not be too surprised if Kid Rock is actually a pseudo Republican if he plays in a political movie starring Sean Penn, Hollywood's most outspoken liberal actor probably. Anyway, in terms of story and action this was not a particularly good watch, but fairly boring from start to finish and also somewhat predictable. I do not recommend the watch all in all.
