Chopped is the TV series where four chefs are given mystery baskets and given 20-30 minutes to cook a course in a meal. Each round has a course and a chef is eliminated after every course until there is one Chopped Champion.
This particular episode features school lunch cafeteria workers from around the country and white house chef , Sam Kass is one of the judges along with Scott Conant and Alex Guarnaschelli.
Both the Class Acts episodes are great, featuring hard working women who are clearly working difficult jobs that they give their all to. All of them are incredibly likable and I found myself ultimately rooting for every contestant as she made her way through the challenges of the day.
The women are all so generous and really seem to have bonded in a way that rarely happens on a game show. First rate and worth seeing if you have any interest in food and education. The competition is fun and pretty unguessable throughout as well.
Terrific!
