Chasing Borders is a multi cultural drama film that explores the lives of a family torn apart by secrets and lies. After the death of their parents, Jamie and Mary are both forced to recognize that only one of them is the biological off spring of their father Jacob. While the other is the result of a sordid affair committed by Jacob. Both sibling begin a journey to learn the truth about how they were brought into the world. Together they must face adversity while remembering that sometimes, blood isn't always thicker than water. Amongst this drama is an even darker story. Illegal immigrant Harish has always dreamed of a better life in the United Kingdom. However his dreams are soon shattered when he arrives at his landlords house to find he is living in a shed. He soon discovers that his landlord Deepak is partnered with business man Kartik and that they have an evil plan to use Harish and others, almost as slaves. By making them work for less than minimum wage in Indian Restaurants. Harish soon finds comfort in a young woman who lives with Deepak called Jasmin.
