Governor Dunston (#7.2)
ComedyFan201022 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Jack asks Liz not to have any politics during election on TGS, but this is a problem considering that one of the politicians looks just like Tracy and does dumb things all the time, And Jack is torn between not making Republicans look bad and trying to ruin NBC. Jenna wants to make music for the only kind of people who still buy CDs and Liz and Criss are working on making a baby.

Very funny! So many great moments and lines and funny references. I loved the beginning with Romney's horse ("or maybe she just wanted to have an apple"). And Paul Ryan is out of election because he was born in Kenya.

Then the whole Jenna story is great as well. Her summer hit alone is hilarious.

And the story of Liz and Criss is great as well. It has great moments such as Liz yelling that they had sex for nothing as well as the fact that she actually does have an aunt whose name is Flow and who came to town.

Catherine O'Hara and Bryan Cranston guest star
safenoe15 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Catherine O'Hara and Bryan Cranston guest star in this presidential election themed episode which gets on point at times about veep picks that can go wrong at times. It's very current, and covers the 2012 presidential election. Great to see Sarah Jessica Parker's husband, Matthew Broderick return in a guest role as a GOP lobbyist.

It's easy to forget that 30 Rock and Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted on NBC at the same time. Conventional wisdom was that Sorkin's powerhouse series be the one that would survive the first season, with 30 Rock being a one season wonder. But history has proved otherwise.

30 Rock Governor Dunston
dalydj-918-25517512 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Jack is looking up on Romney as he talks to the horse of Mitt. On this show we see that Paul Ryan has dropped out of the vice president because he was born in Kenya? Liz is still dating Chris and Jimmy Fallon was on the show again. Jenna comes into the writing room with her cheque she got from doing her Ball dance during to the summer only to earn 90 dollars. Chris comes to the office to have sex with Liz and tells her he tracks her cycle so he can give her a baby. Then in the 30 Rock universe we learn that a Tracey Jordan look-a-like is the new Paul Ryan. Kenneth then introduces Jenna to his mother (Catherine O'Hara) and her friend Ron (Bryan Cranston), Jenna sees they buy CD's so she falls in love with them. Chris got Liz's cycle wrong and she says when the time is the time they will perform the act. TGS does the election stuff and it makes NBC a hit (Surprise). Jenna eats baby food as she talks to her Kenneth, his mother and Ron. Kenneth learns that Ron has married his mother and he does not like it even though it was seven years ago. Liz has to organize her time table with the weekly shows now as she goes through the cycle and has sex with Chris. Cooter comes back (Matthew Broderick) to talk with Jack. Cooter comes representing Bob Dunston and tells Jack to continue the making fun of Bob to make him more likable. Kenneth's parents come to talk to Jenna and when they sing for her she does not like it but in comes Kenneth saying Ron is now his family. Liz goes all sex crazy with her organizing of everything in her life. Jack reveals that he wants the sketches because he supports Romney so they decide to let the sketch go on. I liked this episode and Bryan Cranston was funny to me being a version of Hal but more southern (Cranston from now till the end of time will be Walter White). Jane was funny in her small screen time once again and Tina was also funny with James.

EPISODE GRADE: B (MVP: Tina Fey)

No wonder there is such a division in this country Catherine O'Hara and Bryan Cranston should be ashamed of themselves and the writer of this dreck should be called out for this....
