When Kassie enters the church for the first time, Pastor Bailey is giving a sermon while the adult choir sings in the background. When the choir is shown by itself, they are indeed singing the music that is heard, but when the choir is shown in the background with Pastor Bailey giving the sermon in the foreground, the choir members are not mouthing the words to the song being sung.
