All of the extras of the film were credited in the cast.
Dan Conrad wrote the project as a vehicle for actor Elmer J. Santos in 2006 as part of "The Power Time Show" series of short films. Another director was attached. Greg Vorob was cast as "Greg" and Timothy J. Cox was cast as Greg's boss. The project was dropped when the director left the project and Conrad and Vorob moved on to write and produce "Overcrowded" with Dan Kowalski directing. This led to Kowalski, Vorob and Conrad collaborating for several more projects over the course of six years. When Kowalski heard of the unfinished "Greg's Guardian Angel" project he became very interested in taking the helm but by that time the original script was long gone. Conrad offered to rewrite a new shooting script but Vorob had doubts about it being as good as the original script. Vorob expressed his concerns to Dan Kowalksi, Dan Conrad and Timothy J. Cox but as luck would have it, Cox had the original script that was written six years prior. Production on "Greg's Guardian Angel" started immediately.
Greg Vorob suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome. He was suffering greatly during pre production to the point where he almost stepped down from the film. He never told his colleagues about this. Upon much consideration he did everything he possibly could to honor his agreement to do the film and though he struggled silently he made it through shooting albeit with much difficulty. After the shoot he took much time off and as of 2020 still suffers and rarely works because of it. However he hopes one day soon he will get a regiment in place with the help of his team of doctors to be able to work regularly again.
In September of 2021 Greg Vorob & Dan Conrad announced they are developing a Greg's Guardian Angel short spin-off film that will mainly focus on the characters of Longshaft and Schmaven the corporate heads of Spatco Played by Timothy J. Cox and Jack Moran. It will be the first ever All Things Random project that Conrad and Vorob are not developing for themselves to star in as well as create though they likely will appear in the film as their original Greg's Guardian Angel characters but with both (Greg in particular) in a limited capacity. Conrad's character Roy will likely be given a little more to do. Vorob and Conrad decided to do this project after years of trying to get a Marty and Doug's New Religion sequel project in place with minimal to no success.
