Stacy Summers asks Rad and Teddy to meet her and her friend at the "Under 21" nightclub called "H2O." H2O is a real underage dance club in Ocean City, but in 1985 it was called "Nite Lite." It didn't change to H20 until the late 90's.
The movie takes place 1985, but the father's car is a 1989 Chevy Caprice.
The story is set during the summer of 1985. Lyle's car radio plays Mr. Mister's "Broken Wings", a song that was released in September 1985 (after the summer) and only became a hit record at the end of 1985.
