Throughout the ten-year course of its many theatrical play-dates under several different titles, director Palmer Rockey made significant modifications to the film. Presently, it appears that all versions may be "lost".
The first premiere was at most likely the Canyon Creek Country Club. Since it was at Canyon Creek (a neighborhood in Richardson, Texas) and no cinema existed in the neighborhood. The country club is still in operation in this Dallas Texas suburb.
Director/producer/writer Palmer promoted his film's opening for months in advance with ads in the local newspapers. He visited school campuses and shopping areas, dressed in flashy garb, handing out cards advertising his "adventure-suspense mystery" packed with action.
The Dallas Morning News (December 22, 1974) reported about 300 people attended the premiere of the film at the Canyon Creek Family Theatre Number One in Richardson, Texas. With spotlights shining, the director exited his silver Cadillac in his gold suit and black shirt and walked a gold carpet. The paper reported that instead of awe at an action film, the audience frequently laughed and by the end a few made rude comments.
