- A man's inner struggle, stuck at the paradox gates.
- How we want people to see us; how we are seen; and Who we really are... Is it something bad to be considered 'bad or weird'? there are layers underneath our skin what do we like show, what we don't like to show, and what really shows.—Anonymous
- This film depicts a man's duality, as he finds himself divided between his inner true self, and his outer mask that he projects. His intricately split self is almost palpable, as he is rapidly being boomeranged between his soul and his ego. He wears the mask as a sort of shield, that he thinks would, both, protect him, while destroying his perceived enemies. Not conscious of the impact of his own identity, and lacking courage to communicate with integrity, despite his courage to embrace his vulnerability, we come to realise that he is his sole enemy, and that his distorted perception only serves to torture and alienate no one, but his very self. In a fearful act of ego rebellion, his inner demons take hold, taking advantage of his lacking sense of self, and his incessant successful attempts to merely exist in denial, neither reaching life, nor death, rendering him paralysed and hollow. He is the embodiment of all of us as a race, defining our conditioning, as he reflects back what many of us need to confront, in order to evolve. Still, there is something honourable about a man, who is not afraid to self-destruct, as it is the only way to create something better.—Juditta Salem
