Saw this at SXSW and was blown away! On the surface the story is about two people in love who pursue their every creative vision to the extreme, together (like building a castle in the mid west). As you watch you slowly find where the documentary's true meaning lies. A story about love, grief, the never ending process of art. "Art is never completed, just abandoned."
This movie let me see a persons grief and artistic process, while also seeing the fantastical and weird world two people created for themselves in a way I have never experienced before.
The way the movie explores Allan and Adrianne's life event through music and dance feels exactly how Adrienne would've have wanted her live to be remembered. Truly a beautiful film. Can't wait to watch it again!
