At the movie's beginning, Monk walks out of a building while being on the phone and holding a coffee cup with a vertical print of Dunkin Donuts, and with a lid on it. Seconds later, when he gets into a car, the logo on the cup is horizontally printed and it has no lid, while he is still holding the phone to his head with the other hand.

At 01:39:33, Monk has his arms resting on the table and in the next shot he immediately has them at his sides.

At the wedding, Maynard is wearing an Army officer's uniform with captain's bars, showing he's a junior officer. But his garrison cap (hat) is an enlisted version.

At 34:20, the doctor says that he sees early signs of neurodegeneration on the MRI. But, one cannot see early signs of neurodegeneration on an MRI.

The young director Wiley is described by Monk's agent as a maker of Oscar-bait movies. Yet, in his brief meeting with Monk, Wiley proceeds to outline the plot of Plantation Annihilation; clearly not a serious-minded film.
