- The tribe is puzzled when the Sioux brave who was hunting with Yakari's father is attacked by Great Eagle and has his totem talisman stolen, so as to induce an indefinite coma. Yakari seeks the eagle to get an explanation, but gets no friendly totem visit and needs a mountain goat's help to reach the eagle's nest. Only then he finds it's another eagle, which his totem fights off and talks sense into.—KGF Vissers
- Mysteriously, an angry Great Eagle attacked Reckless Crow and knocked him unconscious while chasing mustangs in the hills. The eagle took the warrior's talisman, and as a result, until the hunter reunites with it, he will be unable to regain consciousness. Determined to solve the puzzle, Yakari sets off to the high mountains to locate the nest and the vital talisman, but the landscape is harsh and dangerous, and only a white-fleeced mountain goat can help.
