"The Birdman" is a 10-minute documentary short film about a record store clerk from 2 years ago. It was the first filmmaking effort by Jessie Auritt and while I did not find this documentary really interesting or exciting to watch, some awards bodies apparently disagreed with me and considered this little movie. It's not bad by any means, especially taking into account that Auritt has never made a film before. Howeevr, I believe you will only manage to appreciate that if you've either been in the store and met the man or just hang around in record stores a lot. Neither applies to me and that's why I found this an underwhelming watch. Not recommended.
