Israel is a pianist, an ascetic, who lives in the studio of Caesar. He sleeps on the sofa and doesn't have to pay a dime for his stay. There is only one condition: Each time Caesar brings a girl, he lowers the window shutters, which is a sign to Israel to stay outside the apartment. Israel lives in Tel - Aviv, a city whose sons were lost on their search for any meaning, fruitless tangled attempts bounded in front Israel's eyes, whose awareness is to him a barrier for any self fulfillment. Adapted from Yaakov Shabtai's novel 'Past Continuous' (Zikhron Devarim).
