I do not know why people are so down on this show. I stumbled across this gem a little while ago on the History Channel and I taped it on IQ to watch later. And I am glad that I did. It is a treat to see London as the tourists do not see it. The amount of great little pubs and clubs and cafés that no one seems to know about. The history of London is most enjoyable as well. Walking around towns is one of my favorite things to do and as it is almost impossible to park in London, walking is the best way.

It is a great show, Alan comes across as very likable and it is well produced.

A great way to explore the UK

I discovered this hidden gem during Covid lockdown and after seeing the first episode downloaded the whole series. It's a great way to to see UK cities and discover secrets not available to the public without leaving the comfort of your armchair. The show is hosted by Alan Cumming who has a great warmth and is marvellous at interviewing both ordinary folk and celebrities as he walks his way through each city adding a touch of humour along the way. I only hope there is another series on the way. Recommended viewing for anyone.

I'm not entirely sure Alan Cummings was the right presenter for this series. He is ok, but I didn't enjoy his presentation style it was a little too effeminate and 'put on'.

That said he does show some interesting sites in London, although an awful is missed and in a city with such a rich history it's a shame.
