Henry doesn't know about Shawn's book until after it is published; however, portions of the book are written by Henry and, on page 146, he even references the fact that Shawn is writing the book.
When at the Psych office at the end of the episode, Henry is holding a fishing rod with a spoon type artificial lure used as bait with a red and white plastic cork attached to the line as well. A spoon is a crank type bait and needs to be pulled through the water to simulate a minnow swimming to be effective as a lure and you would never use a cork while using a spoon. A cork is used for still fishing only.
The bird shown in the opening scene is identified as a Hooded Oriole, but it is actually a Village Weaver. The red eye is the giveaway.
After Joan called Henry while Shawn, and Gus, and him were outside the interrogation room, when the call ends he hangs up and turns around to find Shawn and Gus gone, but the phone in Henry's hand still has the accept/decline widow shown, revealing it is a "screenshoted" photo instead of a actual call.
