In the scene where Sarah first goes into the church, Jeannie drops her off directly at the curb in front and but when they all meet in front of the church as the demolition team arrives, they are standing in a car park. In the same scene, the antique store across the road, from where Larry calls the sheriff, is nowhere in sight although he was standing right across the road when he called.
During the flashback, Larry, just before going to Vietnam, is shown wearing the Army Battle Dress Uniform. The correct uniform would have been the OD Green Fatigues. The BDU's did not come into the Army inventory until the 1980's - long after the Vietnam Era.
It is very odd that buildings that are not being used or lived in (both the church and the Robertson family home) and are slated for demolition have well manicured gardens with freshly planted or potted flowers.
How does a community with strong connections to its church allow it to remain closed for two months or longer with no other church available to worship? The ground wasn't even broken for the "new" church. Where are these people going each week. Couldn't they use it until demolition?
When Emmanuelle Vaugier's character Sarah Robertson is opening the paint cans outside the church to cover the builder's"Coming Soon to this location," a hairy masculine arm is among the hands and arms flying around getting ready to paint.
