Really???
sggoducks20 December 2020
I'm not quite sure what people are freaking out about when it comes to the acting in this show. What are you looking for the next Oscar winner? Of course the acting is suspect and mediocre at best, it THE DISNEY CHANNEL!!! This channel was made for kids and the last time I checked kids are easily entertained by less than average shows and movies that most adults don't watch. This show is a fantasy about a boy and his puppet friend who can interact with people.

It's fine show
medontlookat16 February 2023
I really like this show back when I was a little kid but I recently re-watched a few episodes and it's pretty decent. I guess not worth something like a one star review but I feel like it's fine. Nothing to get too mad about but my nostalgia can't let me, give it anything less than enough six out of 10 but no matter how mid of the road the show may be it will always be part of my childhood and I still remember it pretty fondly. I think it would be worth watching. If you have kids it's pretty much the perfect kid show with loud noises, fart jokes and etc. Nevertheless, it nothing too special but it's still part of my childhood.

Worst show ever
movieplex5919 October 2012
This is single handedly the worst live action kids show on TV right now. Even my kids want me to change the channel when it comes on. In a time when so many options are out there Disney should not have a show that makes people want to watch something else and any one who does change the channel is smarter for doing so. Disney has so many clever shows and their competition does as well. I don't know who they think they are catering to with such a low brow kids show. I would think that Disney would understand that very stupid isn't very funny. Bad writing, bad acting and terrible concept. This show has no redeeming qualities and should be canceled immediately.

''Just for kids'' is not an excuse!
Showtime234512 February 2014
I know I will get lots of hate for this review, but I am going to post it anyway. So, because of Disney's horrible live action shows, I thought this show would be no exception, but boy this show reached a new low for Disney that I didn't expect!

1) The cast/acting: The acting is ''wooden''! Tim, the one that plays Wyatt, cannot act at all! He does not show any emotions, and also uses the same monotone voice. And the girl who plays Amanda, please stop with that annoying accent! And the actor of Pesto is annoying too! Anyway, the worst acting and cast of a Disney live-action show! The cast/acting: 0.5/10

2) Humor: The humor is gross, because it is all about farts, and p**p, I know some Disney shows had toilet humor, but this one reaches the max! The humor is gross even for the target audience! It's not even funny! Humor: 0.5/10

3) The plots: The plots are the most stupid for Disney show, and are also uninteresting. Like: Crash falls in love with an egg, they lose internet and they act like it's the end of the world, and, just to add, that episode with internet was WAY too boring. Plots: 1/10

4) The last but not the least, the characters! Wyatt: I don't like him at all, he is selfish, and also treats his friends horribly. Crash: He is an annoying jerk, if I had a guy like Crash in my house, I would kick him out! The only character that is good is the mom, I can relate to her hate for Crash. The characters: 3.5/10

When is Disney going to stop putting out garbage shows like this? I mean, Crash had a scary dream about a mustache, are you serious?

And that theme song makes me wanna destroy my TV!

Also, unlike other Disney live-action shows, there is no saving grace for this show.

Try better next time, Disney XD!

Total: 0.5/10

If you want to watch quality TV shows, watch: Doctor Who(2005) Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Mickey Mouse(2013), Gravity Falls, Wonder over Yonder, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Kid vs. Kat, TMNT(2003 and 2012) and Phineas and Ferb(Season 1 only!)

Disney Fails Again...No Surprise Here
Kozzy99514 October 2013
Anyone else remember a few years back when Disney Channel actually had quality? There was Even Stevens...wait, that was the only show that had quality. The cartoons are good too, but the sitcoms are awful! They're pointless, have no effort, and lack humor. Sure, there's one or two smirks per show at least, but the popular slapstick random humor doesn't cut it. Crash & Bernstein is an example of these shows. We have all seen Disney do better on the big screen, but their TV shows are to children as Michael Bay is to teenagers- and you know what he's like.

I see my brother watching this show and I don't see why he finds it amusing. I know he Knows what good comedy is, but obviously, the bad puns and sometimes unnecessarily crude humor has already pulled him into this incredibly hyperbolic show about family(the sisters don't even have similar hair color. The age composition between the siblings is also off. And WHERE IS THE FATHER?????). Sadly, my brother is lost. Dear viewers, do yourselves a favor and block this channel from the sons and daughters, or siblings, that you love. Let them watch Leave It to Beaver.

Lets break this down. I won't even mention the acting or cast, which is already bad. First- as I mentioned before, there is no father. Half the shows they got have at least one parent MIA, and it's a bad impression on the viewers. It makes kids think that it's too normal to be divorced and only have one parent. And it's not! Second, the show is from the perspective of a boy with two older sisters. Ideally, the viewers should be in the protagonist's mindset, and he sees two older sisters who bring a lot of feminine things to his environment. They are too far apart in age to really have any effect. They don't team as well. Thirdly, a puppet is a nice change, but he isn't funny. Period. He's a jerk. Kids see him as the perfect brother for Wyatt (Remember to think Leave It to Beaver). Again, this is an unhealthy encouragement. this is only a sliver of many other problems. I hate to be a pessimist, but if they keep throwing these movies out, Why should I do nothing?

Awful!
patsandheat12623 July 2013
Warning: Spoilers
First things first. All of the actors have as much acting talent as the Kardashians! It's not even funny. This show is meant for kids 5-14. Crash looks more like a rejected muppet. Where I come from its BAD if you're best friend is your puppet. Disney XD has gone down the toilet and into the sewage. Like Lab Rats. I tried to like it, but I just couldn't. But that's a different show. All of the shows have gone down the drain. I even watched some other shows and compared to today's shows. It's a scientific fact that Kid shows have gotten worse. Now it's all about farts, getting punched, calling people stupid, etc. I even sat through an ENTIRE episode (I get really bored during the summer) and I dd not laugh once. This was an episode on wrestling. It was so stupid, I completely blocked it, so no one could see it.

Funny Show
doctornword6 November 2012
My little girl loves the show. The puppet is done well. I don't know why someone would hate the show. It's a kid's show. It's not made for me, but my kid quotes it. The actor who plays Bernstein is a funny kid. I think the mom is from Reno 911. My daughter loves Crash, the puppet. Bad puppetry can be ponderous but Crash is well done. The puppet reminds me of a muppet which was one of my favorite shows as a kid. In one episode Crash dressed like Pat Riley. I don't think any kid would get it, so there are jokes for the parents. All in all, I think this is a cool new show. My daughter made me set the recorder to tape new Crash & Bernsteins. My daughter and I look forward to future episodes.

Best concept of a show ever for kids
moouth29 November 2012
I find this show very entertaining for adults as well as for kids. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. It is skillfully written and has the appeal for all ages. I think crash is a fabulous character and the person who portrays crash is fantastic. I think this show should be renewed for at least another season. The Disney XD channel should be applauded for such original programming. This show combines comedy along with learning that every child can benefit from. I don't understand why someone would be son negative in their writing about this show. My children cannot wait till 8:30 on Monday night to see what kind of trouble Crash will get into and how it will be turned into a lesson that all children can learn from.

Finally a Kids' Show for Boys
ZZZqq122 November 2012
Disney is a repulsive company overall, but when the daily options for my two under-6 boys in the touchy-feely, female-dominated children's culture in which we live are shows like "Ni Hao Kai Lan" and "Princess Sofia the First," this is a very - very - welcome change. As the previous reviewer said, it's not for you, it's for them. It may be difficult to understand unless you've experienced it firsthand, but to 4 or 5 year old boys, a purple puppet throwing himself through walls and blowing things up is the funniest thing they've ever seen in their young lives. You've never heard laughter like this. I imagine liberal educators everywhere will be horrified, which only makes this show more appealing.

An Pretty Decent Show I Really Liked!
josephdsanford7 July 2020
I've seen this show as an kid and rewatching it brought some fun memories for me when I was into this show because of Crash even if the show is pretty average {I honestly don't get the supreme hate against this show personally}, I remember seeing the puppet Crash as a zany, madcap, fun-loving and laughable simpleton being incredibly entertaining and was the best part of the show for me whenever an episode focuses on either his clownish antics/humor thoroughly or his conflicts (his silliness can be annoying or supremely childish at times but it does fit his impulsive personality as a sentient muppet {physically and the being the literal slang term for it}, his well-done voice does make his character look older than a teen) and he really doesn't have any motivations other than breaking stuff, but I still found this character pretty likable even for his out-of-character moments as he does share some heartwarming moments with Wyatt at times as he does have a good heart and his intentions are usually in the right place even for his stupidity, absurdities and himself being the wacky comic-relief. + Even the way Crash was puppeteered shows a lot of talent, even for this kind of show

Speaking of the characters, they are pretty ok, typical, somewhat archetypal and kinda uninspired, but some of the character's plot-lines are somewhat interesting like how Wyatt had an conflict with being the only child mistreated by his sisters and mother and never got to hang out with anybody like him while living a female environment (Pesto being one of his friends don't really help out with Wyatt's desires), but to be around others like the titular Crash bring in some fun for him and finally seeing his photographer father in a episode as examples (even if he himself wasn't all that important)

Most of the episodes are pretty passable, even for some of the predictability and typical settings, some unnecessary moments/etc or some mediocre episodes that do present their worst like those dark or mean-spirited episodes like the first episode of the first season "Crash Lands" when Wyatt's family try to get rid of Crash when Wyatt himself finally has a best friend that can connect to him as Crash does survive in the end and in "Release the Crashen" when Wyatt tries to survive from Mel aka Ms. Bernstein's mistake to pair her son to the obnoxious and unsanitary Gerry and how his family was very uneasy to be around when Wyatt's family visit went to visit them (there were some funny and entertaining bits even if the entire episode was painfully predictable and somewhat hard to watch).

The episodes usually can go from pretty ok and interesting to those fun to watch and engaging episodes, my favorites were episodes that had Crash screwing around with the tormentors and comically clowning towards others to the point they're annoyed in a flowery manner or even episodes related to the titular duo like in the s1 episode 9 "Undercover Crash" as one of my favorites, s1 episode 15 "Crash Jacked", the s1 episode 16 "Crash vs Flex" in a both charming and funny way, the s1 episode 23 "Crash Asks Too Many Questions" being one of my true favorites next to Undercover Crash, the s1 episode 18 "Crashlemania" & the s2 episode 2 "Health-O-Ween". + My favorite parts in particular that relate to the show was when Crash does his Pranksgivings as specials with other shows and are pretty entertaining and funny to watch, and are much better than the show to be honest.

The humor does have some not-so-good grossout & unfunny grossout humor {In "Trash & Bernstein" when Crash had his catchy, slightly lowbrow and somewhat funny Trash song, that was where some of the toilet humor seemed to be done the best in a amusing way than the rest, even if the jokes were hit-or-miss anyway} and just some of the jokes in general aren't that good and can fall flat at times, but there is some really good slapstick, humorous wordplay (sometimes being ACTUALLY self-aware or clever like the autotune commentary by Crash) and crazed humor that usually gets lots of chuckles out of me.

(Some people take this show and this character WAY too seriously to summarize how this show is like entirely, unless for some reviewers like The Wild Review that was an exception since he was actually bringing up some REALLY good points and has a satisfying summary how he felt about this show {compared to the majority of reviews you see everywhere}, but I honestly found this show as a guilty pleasure to me since this show has a special place in my heart by how much I enjoyed the show, even when skipping those episodes I didn't like, I still found the show quite enjoyable if you're in the right mood for it)

Crash On Top
isaacwest-6600123 September 2023
The early 2010s seemed to be the peak of Disney XD in my opinion, or at least the end of. Maybe I'm biased. But anyways entering my teens and watching plenty of shows on the channel, it was clear what the best one was: Crash & Bernstein. The idea of Crash lends itself to have more fun than the other shows, and I've always enjoyed the voice acting.

The most impressive part is that I don't have to write this review from the perspective of my twelve-year-old. With Disney+ my younger siblings began watching the same shows I did as a kid, and most of the live action shows aged terribly as my now more matured eyes roll at the content of the shows I loved a decade ago, but those same eyes are fixed on Crash & Bernstein as the humor, though childish still, is fun and goofy.

Crash is the Scranton Strangler: A "The Office" Theory
legoboyreed27 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I'd like to start with this: this is a theory and only a theory. It has some shaky evidence but I think it's enough to topple the "Toby is the Strangler" theory. My first piece of evidence is that crash is purple. Purple is the color of Crash and the Stranglers costume. Strangler confirmed. The second piece of evidence is that crash was built to destroy things. Like peoples throats. Strangler confirmed. And my final piece of evidence is the blatant fact that Crash strangled Pesto in the unfinished episode "Crash and Strangling". STRANGLER STINKING CONFIRMED. This all makes sense, which leads to the shocking realisation: "Crack and Learn Bean 2: Elecric Googaloo" is "The Office" cannon. There's also the possibility that Wyatt is Hannibal Lecter, The Joker (Both Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger) and Darkwing Duck, but that's a theory for another day. I hope this has persuaded you to believe that Crash is in fact the Scranton Strangler.

Horrible garbage! This show stinks!
PopcornSugar3314 February 2017
One of the worst Disney shows EVER! Total rip-off of the old 90's Nickelodeon show Cousin Skeeter.

The premise is weak and the plots are stupid. This show is completely directionless. It's completely unfunny, loud, and obnoxious. The humor is full of butt and fart jokes.

The characters SUCK! It is obvious the producers are trying to make Crash "cool" to appeal to tween boys and this translates into him being rude, obnoxious and annoying. Crash is a mean spirited jerk.

Wyatt is annoying and a poor lead character. He's unlikable and selfish. The best friend Pesto is gross. He has the face of a 30 year old man. Amanda is the stereotypical rude popular teenage older sister obsessed with her looks. She's boring and unlikable. The middle sister Cleo is a scheming con-artist? The mom is just...there. The youngest little sister is pointless and adds nothing to the show. Her character is nowhere to be seen half the time. The fat black guy and midget guy are poor supporting cast side characters.

The acting is HORRIBLE! Cole Jensen plays Wyatt, can't act at all! He's completely wooden. Ooana Gregory who plays Amanda, please stop with that annoying nasally foreign accent! No talent, just a pretty face. And the actor of Pesto can't act either! No talent! Landry Bender is not a good actress either. The worst acting and cast of a Disney live-action show! Nobody has chemistry with each other and the cast is so unappealing and unattractive. Yuck! Who was in charge of casting this show???

The theme song is god-awful. Horrible attempt at trying to be hip and cool with kids.

Poor attempt at a show aimed for boys. Who green-lighted this GARBAGE! No surprised it didn't last long.

Peak fiction???
kinggoji-0366030 May 2023
This show was my childhood, and maybe it's nostalgia but it still holds up well today, there's some childish humor but a lot of the jokes genuinely made me laugh hysterically, no idea why people were so hard on this show when it came out.

I think people hated this show originally because, especially during this time, cartoons like gravity falls and Steven universe were very popular, smarter shows with deeper stories and characters. So people wanted EVERY kids show to be that. But this show just wanted to be a dumb, surrealist comedy, and in that aspect it's amazing, you can just turn your brain off and laugh, that's what this show is for.
