This half-minute film by Birt Acres is just what it says on the label. The boats are sailing vessels, not the motorized boats modern fishermen use, and the harbor is composed of stone quays, with the vessels drawing up smoothly to dock, just the way I was taught to do more than half a century ago.
Looking at it, we can see a link to an older way of life, one led by people who sailed boats because motors were too expensive. However, the composition also recalls the photographs that were already popular: same composition and everything. Heck, when I was a child, my parents decorated our room with painting of ships like these.
