Naruto, Shikamaru and Shiho try to decipher the code. Naruto realizes that the first symbol is not a nine, it refers to the first letters ta, that Shikamaru guesses are from one of Jiraiya's novels. Kakashi overhears the conversation and tells them that the book they talk about is actually the last Jiraiya wrote, Icha Icha tactics. This tells that the message was meant for Naruto, as he knew about his sensei novel and caligraphy more than anyone. Besides, that book was written in the last years. Shiho then manages to decipher the message by using the six number pages listed in the code, it says: the real one is not among them. This revelation is simple, but when they reunite with Tsunade and call Fukasaku, the old toad doesn't understand, and says it's unclear. Kakashi asks how the others are doing, Ibiki is in charge of the interrogatory to the prisoner, while Shizune is performing the autopsy of Pain's body, but it will take time. Naruto says that he will tell Shizune to hurry, but Sakura orders him not to press her, medic work can't be rushed. He says that there's no time and that he wants avenge his sensei. So Fukasaku questions him if he can defeat the enemy who killed the legendary Sannin. Naruto recognizes he can't, but he doesn't want to stay with arms crossed, so the toad tells him to train with him in the Mount Myobouku to learn sen jutsu. He wants to avenge Jiraiya as well, and will teach him that special technique he taught Jiraiya. Tsunade tells that no one in Konoha could defeat Pain now, and agrees with Fukasaku. They go to the gates, and Fukasaku tells Naruto to say goodbye. He encharges Shikamaru to decipher the remaining clues, and also shares a farewell with Tsunade and Sakura, who happily tells him to make his best effort. Then, Naruto prepares to go, but he doesn't know where is the Mount Myobouku. Fukasaku says it's far away, and the only way to go there is with the toad's permission. He shows him the contract signed, uses reverse invoke, and he disappears. Sakura is stunned, so Fukasaku explains that Naruto was invoked from the Mount. He tells Tsunade that he leaves a messenger toad for contact, and then he disappears. While the three return to work, Tsunade thinks that Jiraiya's final decision led to this, implying Naruto is the person of the prophecy. At Mount Myobouku, Land of the Toads, Naruto finds Gamakichi, who says he invoked him. Then, they go with Fukasaku for a meal, prepared by Shima. But the food for toads is disgusting for Naruto. Anyway, before starting the training, Fukasaku explains that the sen jutsu consists in gathering natural energy from around, and that there's must be a balance between body, spirit and nature to use that energy properly. If nature surpass the others, he'll become a toad. Gamakichi makes some comments with more simple words so Naruto can get the idea. In other words, the natural energy increments power, speed, strength, and the senses of the individual. The body resists it because in exchange, suffers some physical changes, like in the eyes, in order to accept that natural energy. That's what I understood from the explanation. So, this is a good idea, there was some logic behind the power Jiraiya used on his last battle. The fact that only he could learn such technique is because the contract, the amount of chakra and previous talent, combined with the hard work and persistance. All these are some of Jiraiya's qualities, that Naruto also has, thanks to his parents and his ninja way, inherited from his sensei. Other things I liked from the episode were the interactions. There was comedy and seriousness. The fact that Naruto recognized that he couldn't defeat Pain for now, and accepted inmediatly training with Fukasaku, implies a growing process. He accepted his own limits, and he wants to be powerful enough to defeat the enemy. Also, the revenge is mentioned, but Naruto is well aware that to survive he must defeat Pain anyway, because Akatsuki wants to capture him, extract the Kyuubi, and hence, kill him. The farewell with Tsunade, Sakura and Shikamaru was a nice moment. They are some of the most important persons for him at Konoha: his kind of grandma and his Hokage, his currently best friend, and the girl he loves who supports him and loves him as well.
