I was really excited about this show. It looked like a horror Fear Factor, but it turned out to be more complex and way more entertaining. The show is a very interesting blend of info and challenges. I really enjoyed the fact that the hosts themselves did all the challenges.

They cover everything from fighting Zombies to being buried alive. The latter was my favorite segment. One host was buried alive in a coffin that was being flooded by blood and roaches which he failed to "survive". It was good that they didn't succeed at every challenge. And the hosts had some chemistry.

There are so many other horror movies that I would love them to cover in the future. I hope it comes back!

OK, so I saw the promos for "Can you survive a horror move" when I was flipping through the channels. Never knew Chiller channel existed but the show seemed interesting. Well now I'm a fan of Chiller and "Can you survive". I love how they touched on the classics and had fun (but not for the weak stomach) challenges. They even brought on in real life experts to bring credibility to the show. I actually learned some techniques on protecting myself in dangerous situations. All in all I'm glad I watched and would love to see another new episode. It would be great if the show could bring on some of the original cast members of Friday 13th or Christine. TV has been missing a fun show like this for a while. With all the channels out there now I'm glad I landed on Chiller.!

Good Fun on Friday the 13th

Although it wasn't "scary" per se, it was definitely entertaining and made me cover my eyes here and there. Being a horror fan, at times you definitely laugh at scenes in those movies, and this was a fun spin on exactly that.

The challenges were good, though I think if brought out further, it definitely can be taken to the next level and with fan involvement can become a followed show.

I've always wondered what to do in certain situations as well and it was interesting to hear what some of the experts had to say.

I plan to follow up and see when a new version might be produced...more "Blair Witch"ish should def make people like the above think differently...

God this was stupid.

Warning: Spoilers
When I saw this on Chiller and read the description, I thought it would be interesting. Nope.

The show has three really annoying hosts: two Jersey Shore wannabe guys and an awkward girl. After discussing classic horror movie scenarios, they engage in tests to see if they could "survive" these scenarios.

Except that this show was horribly planned and none of the challenges have much of anything to do with surviving.

The challenge to survive a zombie invasion requires the hosts to PUSH a zombie. That's right. Push a zombie. The hosts then take turns wrestling people dressed as zombies. Their goal is to push the zombies out of the circle without getting bitten. The zombies pretty much just stand there doing nothing as the hosts struggle to push them. It was even dumber than it sounds.

Part two has the hosts discussing how to survive attacks from animals such as giant sharks. Then, the hosts face another survival challenge. This time they have to crawl on their hands and knees through a tunnel filled with mice. No, I'm serious.

Another segment deals with being buried alive. For the challenge, one host is put in a coffin and some dirt is thrown on the lid. About one shovelful, to be exact. The host then has to call a series of numbers on his cell phone until he gets the right one. You know, just like real life.

It gets dumber from there. The last challenge has the hosts sticking their heads in tanks filled with things like chopped liver and fava beans, dog food, split-pea soup, and pig's blood.

This is basically a really bad extended episode of Fear Factor, but instead of real contestants you get three paid actors. They are "competing" for the chance to appear in the sequel. Let's hope there isn't one.

Entertaining!

Although at first I was hesitant about watching (horror movies make me squeamish!), I'm glad that I did. The show explored different scenarios from well-known horror movies and combined these scenarios with "expert tips" and challenge segments for the 3 hosts (which ranged from one host trying to get out of a rat-infested maze to another being buried alive). The show provided a fun and amusing way to examine the "reality" of horror movie situations...and while the "Blood Feast" is akin to Fear Factor, it ended up being one of my favorite segments. There's nothing like watching people try to eat gross stuff - no acting required! The female host's unscripted comments during her many scenes were hilarious and actually somewhat endearing. Overall entertaining - I would definitely watch a sequel!!!
