Danny and Baez respond to an armed wherein a valuable watch was stolen. Danny at first doesn't think it's a priority till the owner who has ties to the mayor uses it to get Danny to investigate.Later another person is robbed and she's shot, so Danny's attitude changes. Jamie's boss at the Field Intel Unit tells him he has to re ruin a new member. So he thinks he knows someone but he's told that his recruit better be good or he will bear the responsibility of recruiting this person if he/ she doesn't work out. Erin just took the confession of a man who committed an armed robbery and killed a girl when his gun went off. But the man also claims he had an accomplice and the D.A.wants the man charged as an accessory and wants Erin to handle it. When she talks to the man, he denies being the others accessory. And Erin thinks he's telling the truth but everyone tells her she just throw the book on the guy. She tries to find out the truth. Frank informs a cop who a few years ago shot a young man whom he mistakenly assumed is a perp and he was cleared, that the family of the one whom he shot has asked the mayor to reopen the case and Frank thinks its wrong. As a test, Jamie must recruit someone to join his Field Intel team 'at his own risk', hence interviews decorated officer Mark Cooper, but gradually works out his modest, devoted beat partner Zach Christodoulopoulos, who next gets injured in action, makes the better choice.. Danny and Baez investigate a series of violent robberies targeting luxury timepieces, going undercover as a couple to catch the crooks, who must have an inside accomplice. DA Crawford personally asks Erin to investigate the alleged lookout accomplice of a convicted criminal. Anthony is certain the accused is guilty, even refers the victim's mother to her, but the evidence is circumstantial, the shrewd interrogator practically admits she 'delivered' best, making Erin reluctant to prosecute without further details and check on the murderer who earned a plea deal. She realize the man is actually innocent and believes Crawford handed her the investigation to jeopardize Erin's run for DA even before she publicly announces running. The mayor insists to re-open an investigation beat officer Robert Lester, who accidentally shot teen boy Lamar, and now tries to apologize to his parents. The evidence acquitted the officer beforehand and stands, yet brings back feelings of guilt over the incident.—KGF Vissers
