Labyrinth (TV Mini Series)
Episode #1.1 (2012)
Erica Wessels: Shelagh O'Donnell
Quotes
-
Paul Authie : Have you taken the ring?
Shelagh O'Donnell : I told you, I never even saw it. It must have been Biau.
Paul Authie : What about Alice Tanner?
Shelagh O'Donnell : She has nothing to do with it. Why is Marie-Cecile doing this to me?
Paul Authie : She doesn't even know you're here. But she thinks you have betrayed her.
Shelagh O'Donnell : Why?
Paul Authie : [shrugging] Do you know why I am here? Someone must stand against blasphemers.
[taking out a set of torture tools]
Paul Authie : Someone must take God's side.
-
Paul Authie : You do not have to suffer, Shelagh. Hmm? Just tell me what I need to know.
Shelagh O'Donnell : I'm telling you the truth. Biau took the ring. He was supposed to give it to Marie-Cecile.
Paul Authie : So then why didn't he?
Shelagh O'Donnell : I don't know! I don't know.
Paul Authie : Why does this ring matter so much?
Shelagh O'Donnell : Marie-Cecile thinks it's the key...
Paul Authie : What?
Shelagh O'Donnell : [louder] Marie-Cecile thinks it's the key to the labyrinth. I don't know any more than that. I swear. I swear.
Paul Authie : [cutting off her restraints, he gives her a passport-like booklet] You're going to call Marie-Cecile now and read her this, word for word. Be natural.
-
Alice Tanner : You might have warned me that archaeology is really, really boring.
Shelagh O'Donnell : I did. You just weren't listening.
Alice Tanner : Listen, Shelagh, I... I really don't know what I would have done without you.
Shelagh O'Donnell : It's okay. You'd have done the same for me.
Alice Tanner : No. I'd have given you a bottle of wine and put on "Bridget Jones".
Shelagh O'Donnell : [laughing] What do you think we're doing tonight?
-
Shelagh O'Donnell : Marie-Cecile, it's Shelagh. I have the books and the ring. I want 20,000 euros. Meet me at the cave tomorrow at 6:00.
Paul Authie : [gesturing to end the call, he takes the phone back] Well done. Good girl.
Shelagh O'Donnell : [he packs up his tools and starts to leave] Will you let me go now?
Paul Authie : No.
[as he leaves, one of the guards outside goes in and shoots her]
-
Alice Tanner : There was a pain in my side like I'd been stabbed. I-I saw the blood. There was... there was a fire. People screaming. And a woman. I... I felt like I knew her.
Chris Brayling : You were hallucinating. You need to see a doctor when you get home.
Shelagh O'Donnell : What the hell were you doing in there? Alice, suppose there'd been a tremor. You could have been trapped.
Chris Brayling : This is what comes from having amateurs on a dig.
Alice Tanner : [he leaves] He seems upset.
Shelagh O'Donnell : Are you surprised? Alice, you've contaminated the site. And what the hell were you thinking? And the police are swarming all over the place.
Alice Tanner : Police? Why?
Shelagh O'Donnell : The bodies, Alice. The skeletons.
Alice Tanner : I just picked up a ring, that was all.
Shelagh O'Donnell : I didn't find any ring.
Alice Tanner : I dropped it.
Shelagh O'Donnell : Where, exactly?
Alice Tanner : I don't know.
Shelagh O'Donnell : Try to think. It's important.
Alice Tanner : I don't remember.
