Storyline

John Cooper is a computer programming genius who starts working on a project to reverse engineer human intelligence using a map of the human genome. John becomes increasingly disillusioned and severely depressed as he begins to question any possible meaning of human thoughts and emotions that can be replicated on computer software. On the verge of a mental breakdown, he meets Emily-a shy, bohemian novelist that is unable to find emotional sustenance outside of the world of her own writing. This is the story of two lost souls searching for a shadow of love in an increasingly alienating modern world. Written by Dave Ash

Best Drama Movie I've Watched I A Very Long Time
30 October 2017 | by dv-816-793083See all my reviews

I just finished watching 2021 on Amazon Prime. The movie is perhaps the most dramatic indie film that I have ever seen.

It is amazing to me how much drama can be packaged into a seemingly low-budget movie. It is truly a superb performance of the actors and a testament to the talent of the filmmaker.

Thank you for such a high quality cinematic experience.
