With all the housemates at some sort of crossroads in their lives, it is an easy consensus for them to sell the house with Heather and Simmo having already moved out. Those crossroads include: Harry dealing with the loss of Manju, and while he does now have a sense of wanderlust, he isn't sure going to India to spread her ashes into the Ganges with a plethora of extended family members as is expected of him is exactly what he wants to do as his first sojourn; Ainsley trying to find herself in light of the breakup with Simmo and the discovery that she is pregnant, the only person she having told and plans to tell about the latter being Heather; and Liz, with Victoria's help, potentially finding her next professional life, the catch being Victoria expecting Liz to hide much of her recent past to her prospective employers in they being friends with Liz and Victoria's unaware mother. As the expert, Ainsley feels they have to move immediately to capitalize on what is the current sellers' market. All the housemates being on board with this plan takes a potentially irrevocable turn when Heather, who has an agreement with Ben to sever all contact, discovers that Ben and Simmo are planning on moving in with Colin in what was Colin and Heather's house, Heather standing firm on Ben needing to back down or else she will pull her support for selling with legally each housemate having veto power.
